The Last 5 years

5 years ago today was the beginning of something truly amazing in my life. Brian and I knelt across the altar in the Denver Temple and made a covenant of eternal marriage.

A lot has changed in the last 5 years. We traveled the world, together and apart. We welcomed our first child into the world. We bought a house. Brian changed jobs. We added another sweet boy to our family. Those are just the major changes, never mind the little changes that happen each and every day.

One other thing has changed, too; the love I have for Brian, for it has grown so much over the last 5 years. I couldn't begin to comprehend on the day we were married, how much more I would love him today.

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful man for my eternal companion. He's hardworking, strong, funny, quirky, comforting, loving, patient, sacrificing and forgiving. He's an incredible father; his sons love him so much. He helps me around the house. He makes all the insurance/cellphone/internet/credit card/whatever-business-phone-call I don't want to make phone calls, just because he loves me. He does a great Kronk impersonation. He massages me more than I massage him (although, I do massage for much longer than he ever does!). He calls me on all his breaks at work because he knows that I miss him. He laughs with me when we're so tired that everything is funny. He helps me to be a better wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend and a better me because his love helps me have more self-confidence. I am so grateful for Brian and all he is for me.

Happy Anniversary, Babe! I love you!

Busy, Busy!

We've had a busy time the last few weeks. Brian's Grandpa passing meant a trip to Colorado Springs for the funeral (which was beautiful!) and lots of time with lots of family. The boys really enjoyed spending time with their cousins and Brian loved seeing his siblings and aunts and uncles. It was a sad reason for the reunion, but it was great to have that time together.

On Friday the 21st, I went to Denver and met some friends for a Twilight Overnight! We saw the movie that night, stayed in a hotel suite and then spent the whole next day shopping. It was so great to be able to spend so much time with such wonderful people and not have to worry about the kids for a little while! I had so much fun and I'm so grateful for everyone who made it possible for us to do that! Thanks for the fun, girls!

We've been painting around our house, so last week monday, my mom took the boys so we could actually get something done! Of course, Brayden picked that day, that he was away from mom and dad, so start really walking. He's been taking steps for a couple months, but he didn't believe he could do it on his own, but he finally found the courage and now is walking pretty good! He still does his fair share of crawling, but he's becoming a toddler!

Thanksgiving was a nice day. We went to Loveland for lunch, since Brian had to leave for work in the afternoon. Brayden was showing off his walking skills before dinner and then we all ate fantastic food! After lunch, Brian let for work, and we all went a movie. The girls saw Twilight and the boys (and Robin) took the kids to see Bolt. I, of course, loved my movie, and Tyler sure loved Bolt! He came home and renamed a dog toy Bolt!

Now it's December! Can you believe it? I hardly can! My mom got some matching outfits for the boys for church. They are so handsome!

We spent Sunday evening decorating our home for Christmas! Tyler is so excited about it being Christmas time! He tells us every day "It's Christmas time!"

That's the catch up of what's been going on for us! Hope you all are well!
