We spent last weekend in Vegas with Brian's family. All weekend long, Brayden followed his Grandma's dog around the house saying "Buh-he!" (The dog's name is Buffy." If ever Brayden was unhappy, we just asked him to find Buffy, and like a miracle, he was happy again as he searched for her! He was even looking for her in the bathroom of a gas station on our drive home! Buffy is a great dog and was very patient with all of Brayden's attention. Don't separate a boy from his (grandma's) dog!

not much going on
Besides colds that never seem to go away, 2009 has been pretty uneventful for us. And for that I am grateful!! (Sometimes it's just nice not to have to do to much!) But, it also means that I haven't had a lot to post about this year. I'll just give you a quick run down of what we've been up to.Tyler has been in gymnastics since September and he's really having a good time! He's burning off energy, listening to his coaches and learning some really cool skills. He likes the balance beam and the bars. Tyler is such a smart kid! He's sounding out words like crazy and always asks how words are spelled. He's also doing some simple math problems. He likes to tell knock-knock jokes, only he doesn't understand how they work. He likes to play rock-paper-scissors, even though he cheats a lot of the time! He loves playing games in general; Hi-Ho Cherry-O, Chutes and Ladders, Candy Land, Candy Land Castle, etc. It's really fun to hang out with him!
Brayden is growing up so fast! He's talking a ton, even cute little sentences like "here ya go" and "over there". He's learning new words everyday; I haven't counted yet, but he's got to have at least 50 by now. He loves ducks and quacking, bunnies and hopping. Balls are his favorite toys to play with. He loves going on roller coaster rides, courtesy of mom's legs (it's how she gets her work out!!) and loves playing popcorn where he curls up into a ball on the floor and sizzles for a minute before standing up, jumping and saying "Pop!" He dances all the time and loves loves loves to read books! We love watching him be so compassionate with his brother and other kids. He's such a sweet one to have around!
As for Brian and I, we've been lucky to have a few dates lately! Thanks to a wonderful friend/cousin, we were able to go see a production of "Swing!" at the Candlelight Dinner Theatre. The theatre is sooooo beautiful, the show was fantastic and the food was amazing! I think it's the best dinner theatre there is! The next week, we went to the Stake Valentine Dance and had the best time we've had at a dance since we were youth! Other than that, we've been down to the Springs to visit Brian's family a couple times, seen my family quite a bit (Dave, Janna and Ethan have been here) and we even met one of Brian's high school friends and her two kids for a fabulous day at the zoo. We've kept busy, even if it isn't exciting to read about. We're hoping to get everyone healthy soon. If we can do that, we may just have some fun plans in the near future that will be more blog-worthy. :)
